After a last round of talks with all applicants, including Pereira and Duncan Ferguson, the Goodison Park club is set to choose Lampard. Since leaving Chelsea in January, the former England international has been looking for a way back into management.
Everton will now focus on bringing in player reinforcements before the transfer deadline on Monday in order to help the club avoid relegation. Lampard will play a part in the process, but given the short time frame, the club must act quickly and decisively.

On Friday, the Toffees conducted yet another interview with the Chelsea veteran, Ferguson, and Pereira as they sought to conclude their hunt for a replacement for Rafa Benitez.
Everton fired Benitez after a 2-1 loss to Norwich earlier this month, citing a poor run of play.
